Medical communications

Experience as an editorial assistant for medical communications agencies

I have provided editorial assistance to medical writers in a variety of therapy areas, and worked on publications and products as diverse as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, meeting invitations, speaker biographies, sales aids, to name but a few. I can style, copy edit, format and proofread documents, order references and permissions to support your research output, and assist with the online submission of manuscripts to journals and abstracts to conferences.

Please note that, with an academic background in the humanities, I can also offer these services to researchers/organisations in areas other than medicine/pharma.

Web editing

Experience as a web editor within higher education, local government and the voluntary sector

Here I have undertaken a wide range of activities, including rewriting existing copy for the web and creating new content to ensure consistent and comprehensive coverage. I ensure that text adheres to relevant guidelines and standards, such as accessibility and corporate branding, and is produced in conjunction with appropriate design elements for pages and in accordance with the overall information architecture of a site.

English language review

One additional service I have provided is editorial support for non-native speakers of English. I can review your content and make suggestions as to where phrasing, sentence construction and idiom could be changed to improve the ‘flow’. If this is of interest to you, please get in touch.
